Welcome! My name is Barbora and I'm currently taking a gap year after finishing my bachelor's degree. My boyfriend and I are backpacking Southeast Asia and share our journey on this blog.
Since I became old enough to realize that the world doesn't end behind the door to my room, I had a craving to explore. However, I was an introvert and I didn't think that introverts can become travelers. My first adventures were part of school trips (London, Paris, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Italy) and even though I was never the one to navigate us through the streets, I loved seeing new things and exposing myself to new environments. Hence traveling has somehow become a part of me, a part that doesn't seem to fit with the rest of my cozy-self, but one that might potentially be the most important in shaping myself into a well-rounded, kind and "global" person.
My name is Barbora and I'm currently unemployed. I am taking a gap year from university, work and life. I have studied physics at University of Groningen but see my future self as more of an artist with a scientifically driven mind. I love painting, literature and cinema, and to be fair I also love physics. Most of all I love sharing what I do.
I have started this blog on my trip in Japan following a need to share my experience, my thoughts and ideas. I wanted to keep a log for myself of all the places that I have traveled to, for my family and friends to follow my journey and see what I'm seeing, and for all the travelers out there who might need inspiration of where to go and all the practical information surrounding it. I had this little idea that someone, a complete stranger, might stumble upon this corner of the internet and gets interested in my writing, follows me along this gap year journey and gets immersed, like watching a movie, and takes a little break from the day.
